White-Star is a J-34 IOR sailing out of North Flathead Yacht Club on
beautiful Flathead
lake in Somers Montana.
It's great when summer roles around in our little corner of heaven.
Racing on White-Star really makes for an exciting summer.
We are off to a good start this year.
This year we have added several key team members that are working
hard to learn the ropes (Sheets and Lines) If
your interested in giving it a try, go to the
crew signup page or send us an e-mail
and let us know.
The big news for the year has to be
that we traded White-Star for a FARR 37. We will continue to
race White-Star until the Farr is ready to go probably some time in
late July. It will be really hard to see someone else racing
White-Star. She has been a great boat and we have gained a lot
of experience and knowledge during the years we sailed her.
White-Star always gets a lot of
comments from everyone that sees her. She is always in
good shape and looked like she means business.
People walking down the dock
constantly comment, "She really looks fast", or "That boat
really has nice lines." The J/34 is without a doubt the best looking boat ever to
come from JBoats .
 If you own
a J/34 or know some one that does, please drop us a e-mail
we would love to hear from you! We have added a new page under
the boat menu called Other J 34 Owners, where we are keeping a list of
the J 34 Owners that we know about, along with links to their sites,
and pictures of their boats. I would like to eventually complete
the list will all the owners and add perhaps add a tips section,
maintenance issues, and whatever else might be fun or helpful.
There are only 25 of
these boats out there, but it might be fun to have a J 34 Class association! Let me
know what you think. I'll need something to do over the winter
while White-Star rests.
North Flathead Yacht Club completed the new docks last year and is
an amazing place to see now. We have water and power to the
slips, along with great new environmentally friendly lighting.
The new breakwater works superb, even in the worst storms the boats
ride comfortably in their slips.
